Good Evening Rutland,
๐ Itโs been an extremely busy six shifts for me across the entire Neighbourhood Policing Area (NPA) with a wide range of incidents, Policing Operations and events to keep me occupied. A quick roundup of some of the things I have been up to below: ๐
The Rutland Dedicated Neighbourhood Team attended The Rutland County Show on Sunday, it was a fantastic opportunity to engage with the local, wider and rural communities. Rural Crime is a Neighbourhood Priority on my Rutland Rural North beat area โ so our presence at this event was really worthwhile and important. If you attended, we hope you had a good day and thank you to everyone who came over and spoke with the team ๐ ๐พ ๐ ๐ ๐ด ๐ฆ ๐ ๐พ ๐
๐ต ๐๏ธ I was also involved elsewhere on the NPA for a few shifts to support the Policing Operation at The Forbidden Forest Music Festival, at Belvoir Castle. This was a large joint effort working with officers from all over the force area from multiple departments. Although I am a Dedicated Rutland Beat Officer, we do occasionally need to support other areas when there is a special event taking place. I was primarily involved in the community reassurance patrols around the villages in The Vale of Belvoir, it was good to engage with the rural communities there, but I was also used and on hand for incidents on site. If you attended the event we hope you had a safe and enjoyable time ๐ ๐บ
๐จ Other incidents I have been involved in that I can mention include, (but are not limited to!): ๐จ
๐ Assisting response officer colleagues with the search of a vulnerable person who required safeguarding intervention, found safe and well, relevant referrals completed โ๏ธ
๐ Arresting a person on suspicion of Possession with Intent to Supply Class A Controlled Drugs โผ๏ธ
๐ Assisting colleagues in the ambulance service by responding to a person in mental health crisis in a public place, relevant support and care provided by medical professionals ๐ค
๐จ Responding to a report of an intruder at a property, thankfully everything was in order and it was a call of good intent ๐
๐ Responding to a report of arson in a rural location elsewhere on the NPA outside of Rutland and assisting response colleagues in the arrest of 3 persons located near to the scene. Thankfully no one was hurt, injured or endangered ๐ ๐
๐ Then in-between all of this, I have been visiting victims of crime, providing support, reassurance and advice, as well as progressing enquiries and my ongoing case load of investigations ๐ฎ๐ปโโ๏ธ
As always, thank you for your continued support. Itโs my last shift tonight before a few much needed R&R days โ but donโt worry, youโve got the rest of the Rutland team and our 24/7 response teams keeping you safe! ๐
