Good afternoon Resident,

Firstly I would like to thank everyone that responded to my previous message, I had almost 70 responses, all of which were helpful and informative around the issues you believe should be a focus for the Bolton Town Centre Neighbourhood Team and the areas in which you reside. I have passed on the feedback you have provided to the relevant teams across the district for their review and action. 

Following on from the responses, we will be retaining the same three main priorities; 

🛒 Retail Crime - I have a dedicated shoplifting team who patrol Bolton Town Centre to prevent, deter and detect shoplifting, bringing offenders to justice. We are proactively applying for Criminal Behaviour Orders for repeat and prolific offenders. 

📢 Anti-Social Behaviour - Officers will be patrolling ASB hotspots, completing diversionary referrals for minor ASB, and arresting those engaging in criminal activities. 

💰 Begging - We are actively working with our partners to help those in need, whilst balancing this with a need to prosecute where the begging is prolific and causing alarm and distress to members of the public, particularly at traffic lights throughout the area. 

Alongside this and as part of our daily duties, we will also be tackling driving offences, serious acquisitive crime, and drug misuse. 

I will continue to keep you all updated with the activities we have ongoing across the town, and please feel free to pop down to one of our monthly drop-in sessions to speak to local officers.
