Today I had the honour of meeting David and Lisa De Souza who run the ‘People’s Community Project' in Stoneclough. Every year, they bring together the community to commemorate Remembrance Day at Ringley Bridge. The day consists of a full day of activities including a candlelight service in the evening. The day's events involve the entire community with representatives from the primary schools also made part of the ceremony.

One of my roles is Forces Lead for the Bolton division of GMP and I like to get out and support all groups involved in working with veterans in Bolton. If you are a member of any groups which fall into this category and would like me to visit to give an input in relation to Op Nova or Forcer Protocol, which are police initiatives aimed at supporting vulnerable ex service men and women, then please get in touch and I will arrange a visit.
