Good afternoon,

I am pleased to tell you that a 23 year old male has been arrested today for a number of robberies which took place in February this year, where he and an associate  have travelled across central Manchester targeting students and intoxicated people and using threats of violence with weapons to take their mobile phones from them. 

The pair used hired bee bikes to cover the distance. The other Offender has previously been charged and remanded earlier in the year, however this male has managed to evade capture for over 3 months. The central tasking team have pursued him relentlessly and final cornered him in a hotel on Platt lane, Manchester this afternoon. He will be dealt with by Longsight Neighbourhood crime team this afternoon, and presented to CPS this evening for a charging decision.
