Hartlepool Town Centre and Ward Priorities

Dear Hartlepool Resident and Cleveland Connected Member,

I am Chief Inspector Andy Liddell I manage your Neighbourhood and Proactive Teams. 

I wanted to write to you to firstly thank you for engaging with us on Cleveland Connected and secondly to inform you of our future priorities and the positive changes to the way we will serve our wards. 

We are embarking on a new initiative during 2025 into 2026 to increase Neighbourhood Officers numbers and visibility in our Town Centre and other wards in line with the Governments Neighbourhood Policing Guarantee. This will see a greater visible presence particularly in the Town Centre to tackle Anti-social behaviour, Retail Crime and Violent Crime but additionally we will continue to problem solve with our partners, concerning the increase in off road bikes and the associated anti-social behaviour and crime occurring across our wards. We will always continue to target organised criminal gangs, and we've had numerous recent disruption activity inclusive of closure orders of connected premises, where drugs and other illicit items are traded.

Cleveland Connected provides you a direct line with messaging availability to your ward officers and an opportunity to raise issues you otherwise wouldn't telephone into 101 or 999. I hope that this system will be a positive information sharing platform in the coming months and years and I would encourage you to inform your family, friends and colleagues of the benefits I've outlined.
