Sheppey East - Vehicle Seizures

Good afternoon

Yesterday we saw a vehicle being driven erratically on Warden Bay Rd, we attempted to pull it over but it failed to stop. For safety reasons it wasn't pursued but we found it parked up a few minutes later. Vehicle seized to prevent further offences and enquiries are ongoing to try and identify the driver.

Today we saw the E-scooter in the attached photo being ridden on Warden Bay Rd. Vehicle was seized and an intel report submitted with rider's details. If he is stopped on an E-scooter again further action will be taken.

Also today in Leysdown, some of my colleagues stopped a vehicle and the driver ran off but was quickly caught. The vehicle was subsequently seized and the driver dealt with for driving whilst disqualified and no insurance.

This has all been in addition to conducting an area search for a high risk wanted person, dealing with reports of other anti-social behaviour, carrying out patrols of the area and conducting a surgery for people to come and meet their local officer.

If you have any information regarding illegal or dangerous drivers or vehicles or any other local issues please continue to report this Report | Kent Police and where possible we will take action.

Kind regards
