#Sceptre | As part of the national week of action to tackle knife crime, the Bolton Town Centre team have provided an amnesty bin for anyone wishing to anonymously drop off knives. You can find the drop off location on Newport Street from 09:00-11:00hrs tomorrow.

If you wish to hand over a knife please ensure the blade is safely wrapped in cardboard and secured in place with tape. No details will be taken, no questions asked - simply walk over, drop off, and walk away knife free. 

This amnesty bin means that knives and other bladed weapons can be disposed of safely without the fear of prosecution. Please be aware that if you have a knife on you that does not meet the above conditions (wrapped and secure), you may be arrested if it is found in your possession.
