Positive Results - ASB & OP SCEPTRE

Hi All,

Officers have been at Maurice Lea Park in both plain clothes and uniform for knife crime patrols this week.
2 males with concealed faces were sighted riding an electric bike on Swadlincote High Street and tracked to Maurice Lea Park where they were observed to ride carelessly around members of the public, including young children and pulling wheelies on the bowling green.
Both males were detained by PC Boniface, PC Saddington and PCSO Hawksworth before they could get back on the bike and disappear. Males stop searched and the bike seized due to having no licence or insurance and being adapted.
Further action is being taken in relation to their anti-social behaviour with our Youth Engagement Team.

Furthermore, whilst on the park dealing with this incident, the officers located and seized 2 knives, quickly removing them before they could be used to commit offences.

Kind Regards From Your Local PCSO,

PCSO LUNNUN 13062.
