Crime Report Sutton in Ashfield for the week to midnight Wednesday 21 May 2025

Crimes reported over the past seven days.

Burglary Dwelling

At 3.49am on Monday 19 May in Main Street, Huthwaite, Sutton in Ashfield, a downstairs window was smashed to gain entry to a property while the occupants were upstairs. CCTV footage at 3.17am shows a male in a balaclava and wearing a purple jumper going down the side to the rear of the building. It is believed that two males dressed in black, who arrived in a vehicle, were responsible for the break in. 

Burglary Other

At 9.33pm on Sunday 18 May in Beck Lane, Sutton in Ashfield, a report of a break in to a site where houses are being built. Two youths broke a fence and climbed over into the site.

Around 12.05pm on Friday16 May in Bingham Avenue, Sutton in Ashfield, a red and black pushbike with “Tiger” written on it was stolen from outside a property.

Between noon on Tuesday 13 and the morning of Wednesday 14 May in Lammas Road, Sutton in Ashfield, a black Graco stroller pushchair was stolen from a room in a mother and baby unit.

Around 6.20pm on Sunday 18 May in the Lawn Pleasure Grounds, Lawn Lane, Sutton in Ashfield, a group of eight lads and a few girls, the majority on foot with some on bikes or scooters, were trying to snatch phones from another group of girls. One girl had her vape stolen by a white male, blonde hair, 13/14 years old.

Criminal Damage

At 5.30am on Saturday 17 May in Elderfield Drive, Sutton in Ashfield, a brick was thrown at a window smashing the glass.
