Hello, I am emailing personally to invite you, as a Hertfordshire-based retailer, to attend the first meeting of the Hertfordshire Retail Crime Forum and contribute your ideas on how we can do more to tackle shop theft and retail crime in our county. As Hertfordshire’s Police & Crime Commissioner, I have established the Retail Crime Forum to bring together national and independent retailers and business groups with Hertfordshire Constabulary and my office. The aim is to work together to address retail crime, improve crime prevention and take practical action. The first meeting will be on 13th June – can you attend? Retailers like you are vital to Hertfordshire’s economy, town centres and communities. I know that retail crime – whether shop theft, abuse of staff or criminal damage – has a real and damaging impact on businesses. Tackling this is one of my priorities to ensure you and your team are supported.
