BURGLARY APPEAL - Can you help?

Crime reference: CAD5901/16May25

On Friday the 16th May, at believed to be around 1620hrs based on an earwitness, a burglary took place on Glebe Avenue, Ickenham on the odd-numbered side around halfway between Sussex Road and the bend that leads into Austin's Lane.

Unknown suspects gained entry via the rear patio door, smashing the glass and conducting an untidy search of the bedroom.  Cash and jewellery were stolen.

The property backs onto an allotment area and it is believed that the suspect(s) may have gained entry from that direction.

Action required please:

Do you live in the vicinity and do you have CCTV that may have captured the burglars or their vehicle?  Were you driving in the vicinity at that time and do you have a dashcam that may have captured useful information?  Were the criminals operating elsewhere across the Ickenham and South Ruislip that afternoon and did you capture anything suspicious?  If so the police would like to hear from you as soon as possible please on 101 or using the other digital methods shown below.

Crime prevention advice:

Your property can be vulnerable at the rear if there is easy side access, for example down an open path or an unlocked side gate, or if your property backs onto open land, allotments and so forth.  Please take extra care to secure your property from opportunist burglars.  Consider fitting an alarm system and CCTV to provide deterrence and evidence.
