Dear Resident,
Operation Sceptre is a National campaign led by Police Forces across the UK to tackle knife crime and raise awareness about its dangers.
Running regularly throughout the year, the operation focuses on enforcement, education and prevention. Activities include weapons sweeps of public areas, knife amnesty bins where people can safely dispose of bladed instruments (Humberside Police amnesty bin is located at Victoria Street Police Station). School visits and working with local communities to reduce knife-related incidents and encourage safer stronger communities.
If you do need to dispose of any bladed items, please wrap them appropriately and take them to Grimsby Police Station, Victoria Street, no questions asked.
