Crimes reported over the past seven days. Burglary Dwelling At 2.48am on Saturday 10 May in Forget Me Not Way, Skegby, Sutton in Ashfield, a male with his hood up, possibly age 20/30 years, wearing dark clothes and gloves was shown on CCTV trying a door before walking away. At 1.47am on Saturday 10 May in Bridle Close, Stanton Hill, Sutton in Ashfield, someone tried to open a front door before trying other neighbours doors on the Close. Burglary Other Nothing to report Theft of motor vehicle At 2.15pm on Friday 9 May in Forest Road, Sutton in Ashfield, a red Honda motorcycle, parked on the pavement, was stolen. A witness saw the steering lock being snapped off and the bike being driven away towards Stanton Hill. Theft from motor vehicle Between 4.30pm on Wednesday 7 and 3.00pm on Thursday 8 May in Weston Close, Sutton in Ashfield, a purse containing a drivers licence, store and bank cards was stolen from a car. Theft At 7.09am on Thursday 8 May in Fulwood Road South, Sutton in Ashfield, a small silver van with three male occupants pulled into a yard and stole copper from a bin. When challenged, they reversed into the electric gates causing considerable damage as they escaped. The driver wore a dark blue top, a blue baseball cap and spoke with an Irish accent. Between 9.30pm and 10.00pm on Monday 12 May in Ashland Road West, Sutton in Ashfield, security cameras were moved and stolen by a white male, slim build, wearing a cap, long sleeved black top, grey shorts, black shoes. Criminal Damage At 5.45pm on Monday 12 May in Elderfield Drive, Sutton in Ashfield, a report of ongoing issues with youngsters knocking and kicking on the callers door. Today a young lad, age around 9 yearsold, kicked on the door cracking a glass pane. At 12.20am on Wednesday 14 May in Anslow Drive, Sutton in Ashfield, a brick and a tin of paint were thrown at a window breaking the outer glass. Paint was splashed over the window, driveway and two parked cars ASB At 3.52am on Thursday 8 May in Huthwaite Road, Sutton in Ashfield, a male was throwing bottles around and putting cones in the road to stop traffic outside the Huthwaite Service Station. Described as white, 6-05” tall, 30 years old, wearing a blue hoodie, black jacket and black trousers. At 8.15pm on Friday 9 May on the old Silverhill Colliery site, Teversal, a report of a group of around 60 males and females drinking alcohol and scattering litter near the big pond. The person reporting the incident thought they were underage to be drinking. At 9.11pm on Friday 9 May in Station Road, Sutton in Ashfield, a report of four or five teenagers, around 16 years old, shouting abuse at people passing by and behaving in an intimidating manner. At 9.45pm on Sunday 11 May in Devonshire Square, Sutton in Ashfield a report of two females and a male on the roof of Devonshire House throwing bricks. Descriptions – white male, 16/18 years old, blonde, wearing a black Nike tracksuit. Females both 16/18 years old, one with blonde hair and wearing a blue tracksuit the second had black hair, no further details.
