Just to keep you updated of what the police are doing to tackle speeding.

The road policing unit have been on Ribchester road (near to 108) on the evening of Wednesday 7th May and this morning at 8am.

They have also been on Whalley Road, Wilpshire (the turning circle) on numerous occasions, the latest being this morning at 10:30, they do conduct speed checks at Wilpshire at least every two weeks at all times of day and night.

On the 4th March your neighbourhood team conducted speed awareness on Ribchester road with year 6 pupils from Salesbury school, the children got to have a go on the speed gun and speak to drivers about their speed. this was well received, even by the speeding drivers. I am looking to do this again later in the year.
