Theft from Motor Vehicle - London Road, Hemel Hempstead, HP1 2RJ.

Dear Resident

On London Road, Hemel Hempstead, HP1 2RJ, between the 13th and the 14th of May 2025, between 18:30hrs and 07:45hrs, a theft from a vehicle occurred.

The victim left his laptop bag with his laptop and accessories in the boot of his car overnight.

There is no damage to his car.

All the items are gone from the vehicle.

Vehicle's details are as per below:

A blue Audi A5, plate number DV67WMF.

Tips to prevent vehicle crime:

Ensure you lock doors and shut windows/sunroof when leaving your vehicle unattended.

Always remove keys from the ignition when you are not with the vehicle

When parking, remember to set your immobiliser or alarm or use an approved steering lock or gear lever clamp.

Never leave valuables in your vehicle – not even in the glove box or boot – and keep all possessions out of sight – even coats, sunglasses and carrier bags.

Remove your satnav and holder and wipe away suction marks which could indicate that a satnav is stored in your vehicle.

Be aware of your keys. Don’t leave them lying around, visible or in pockets in changing rooms where they could be taken. Don’t leave them visible on a windowsill or near to your front door, where they could be “hooked” through the letterbox.

Store car ownership documents at home, not in your car.

Secure number plates with anti-theft screws.
