Dear members of the local community, 

After an increase in calls for service around begging in the Bradford Moor area, we planned a day of action to work alongside partner agencies and help these individuals. Today we have worked alongside the homeless outreach partnership and New Vision charity that provide support in relation to drug and alcohol abuse. Individuals that were found begging were given words of advice and warned regarding their behaviour. They were advised that if it continues, further action will be taken.

On this occasion we positively engaged with the individuals, made referrals and provided them with free food leaflets for when they need help in the future.
