Warmer Weather - Burglary Prevention

Hello Resident

Don’t Let Burglars Take Advantage This Summer

As the weather warms up, it’s natural to want to keep windows and doors open to let in the fresh air, but please don’t let burglars take advantage!

We are urging residents across Wolverhampton to stay vigilant and follow these simple steps to help prevent burglary

  • Always lock doors and windows when you leave a room, even if it is just for a short time. Opportunist thieves can strike in seconds.
  • Don’t leave valuables in plain sight. Keep handbags, keys, phones and laptops out of view and away from the windows and doors.
  • Consider using window restrictors to let air in without allowing access.
  • Lock side gates, sheds, and garages to prevent easy access to your home.
  • Set your alarm if you have one, and consider motion sensor lighting or video doorbells for added security.
