The next Personal Safety Awareness Workshop for members of the public will be held as detailed below - these classes have proved to be extremely popular and useful in the past. On this occasion it’s an all-inclusive session, open to any persons 12+ years old (N.B. The policy notice on the registration page covers permissions required for any persons 12-17 years old). You are most welcome to attend and to share details of the session with your colleagues, family and friends. It would be very much appreciated that if you do book a place and are subsequently unable to attend - even if you only know this the day before - that you contact the organisers directly please so that they can release your place for someone else. Day/Date: Saturday 28th June 2025Time: 12:00 - 13:30 hoursVenue: UXBRIDGE HIGH SCHOOL GYM, THE GREENWAY, UXBRIDGE, UB8 2PRWhat: Personal Safety Awareness workshop; Basic self defence class delivered by United Martial Arts Academy (UMAA) - non-police instructors, and local police officers available post class to give attendees the opportunity to raise and discuss any concerns they may have about safety in the local area, and to enable the sharing of crime prevention advice and support.Attendees are also provided with a goody bag containing some crime prevention giveaways - personal safety items (such as a torch, bells etc) and crime prevention advice materials.
