Deansgate PACT - 12th May 2025

The Deansgate Partners and Community Together meeting was held last night at Barca in Castlefield. Your local policing team were in attendance with key partners from Neighbourhoods and ASBAT at Manchester City Council and Cityco who were their to represent the businesses in the City. There was a great turn out form the community and we held several healthy discussions on several issues effecting you, the people that live, work and visit our City.

At the conclusion of the meeting we agreed on three specific areas of concern that the partners will work together to address in the forthcoming weeks.

1) Anti-Social Behaviour in relation to the use of vehicles - inclusive of the inappropriate use of foreign registered vehicles.

2) Anti-social behaviour linked to homelessness and rough sleeping

3) Prevention, education and enforcement around thefts in and amongst the Southern Gateway area of the City

I want to thank all the attendees for coming and participating. I would also like to extend a cordial invite to everyone else in the community to attend the next meeting which will be held on Monday 7th july 2025, again at Barca in Castlefield.

In the meantime, if you are experiencing any problems with Anti-social behaviour, or have any other concerns about community safety issues please contact the city council or report this to us online or via the LiveChat function on the GMP website.  Always dial 999 in an emergency.
