Help Us Tackle Illegal Use of Electric Off-Road Bikes

Greater Manchester Police (GMP) is continuing its efforts to tackle the growing problem of electric off-road bikes being used illegally on public roads, footpaths, and green spaces.

These bikes are often ridden recklessly, posing a serious risk to the safety of pedestrians, other road users, and the riders themselves. In many cases, they’re unregistered, uninsured, and being used in anti-social or criminal activity.

We need your help.

The public plays a crucial role in helping us identify and respond to incidents involving illegal electric off-road bike use. The more demand/ reports we have, the more likely we are in acquiring the assistance of additional departments to tackle this issue.

If you see one being ridden dangerously or in a place it shouldn’t be, please report it to us. Your information could help us locate offenders, seize illegal vehicles, and prevent further harm to the community.

You can report incidents by:

  • Calling 101 (or 999 in an emergency)
  • Submitting information online at gmp.police.uk
  • Providing dashcam, CCTV, or phone footage if safely available
  •

Let’s work together to keep our streets safe.
