Parking and road safety

Good morning,

Today we are sending a message about road safety and safe parking after multiple reports of badly parked vehicles over the weekend.

I am sure we are all very pleased to be having good weather, meaning more bbq's and social gatherings however, please always ensure you are parking your vehicle safely and not causing any obstructions to other road users or to pedestrians.

Rule 244 of the highway code, waiting and parking - ‘You should not park partially or wholly on the pavement elsewhere unless signs permit it. Parking on the pavement can obstruct and seriously inconvenience pedestrians, people in wheelchairs or with visual impairments and people with prams or pushchairs’. The Highway Code - Waiting and parking (238 to 252) - Guidance - GOV.UK

Please ensure to share this with friends and family, please encourage others to sign up to my community voice so they can also receive posts, alerts, awareness and engagement opportunities.

Drive / park safely & have a good week!

Many thanks, PC Daly
