Graiseley NHT Weekly Round-Up!

Hello Resident,

Another week (or so) has gone by and your neighbourhood team has been hard at work in and amongst the community to keep you all safe! Here is a recap of what’s been going on.

What's Been Happening?

There have been a few high-profile incidents across Wolverhampton that your local neighbourhood policing team has been sent to, which has resulted in some time away from our areas to conduct the patrols and execute the work specific to the community.

However, we have still been out and engaging with the community at our numerous meetings, residential homes and care homes, as well as being out on foot.

We as a county celebrated VE-Day on 8th May, and this included your local PCSOs attending one of our regular residential homes for various celebrations, including talks from residents about their experiences of that monumental day in 1945.

An update in terms of crime…

We don’t normally include crime in this update, but I felt that I would need to make you aware of the increased rise in car thefts, both of items within the car, the vehicles themselves and attempted car thefts, or people trying car door handles.

As always, we ask you to keep valuables out of visibility in your car, or ideally remove them entirely. Also leaving your glove compartment open (and empty) can sometimes deter thieves as they can see nothing is there to be taken.

We have a multitude of advice on our website, which can be accessed by clicking the links below:

Look Out For…

We continue to have various events within the community planned to allow us to gain an insight into neighbourhood issues and get a chance to speak 1:1 with you.

The last one we have planned was within Whitmore Reans Library on Monday 12th May between 3:30pm and 4:30pm.

We love, as always, to see as many of you there as possible. If you were unable to attend, we have a regular slot there and the meeting after is scheduled for the following Monday 16th May, at the same time.

Next Week…

You may see a drop of messages now and again in-between these weekly round-ups, but if you need us urgently please continue to use 101, 999 in an emergency, or visit our website!

Until then, thank you for your time reading! Please feel free to share this around, and we will be in touch!

Thank you, and stay safe!
