Vehicle safety and ways to protect yourself

Hello,

There have been several incidents of thefts of motor vehicles in surrounding Tonbridge area recently, it is believed that 3 out of 5 vehicle thefts are due to keyless entry thefts. If your vehicle does have keyless entry consider these methods to protect your property.

  • Use a signal blocking pouch (Faraday Bag) to keep your car keys safe.

  • Turn off keyless fob’s wireless signal.

  • Use a steering wheel lock or car alarm.

  • Re-programme your keys.

  • Park defensively.

We will of course work to stop offenders.

    Kind Regards,

    PC Mead 14468
