We have received several reports of offenders trying vehicle doors in the early hours of the morning. 

On SATURDAY 10 MAY 2025, one of these offenders was caught around 09:00 and arrested. He has since been charged and will be appearing at Court.  

Please take the time to increase the security of your vehicle by conducting the following: 

• Ensure your car is locked (take 10 seconds to walk around it and physically check the handles) 

• Try to park in a well lit area with CCTV coverage 

• Remove all belongings from inside the vehicle (It may be useful to keep a bag for life inside your vehicle and use this to transport your items) 

• Install a steering wheel lock
