Officers are appealing for information as they continue to search for a missing man in Bournemouth.

Gavrila, aged 79 and also known as Gabi, was reported missing at 9.10pm on Friday 9 May 2025 having last been seen in Hankinson Road at around 3.40pm earlier in the day.

He is described as five feet six inches tall, of skinny build and was last seen wearing black trousers, a blue jacket, black shoes and a farmers cap. Gavrila uses a silver walking stick.

Following enquiries, the last confirmed sighting of Gavrila is at approximately 12.30am on Saturday 10 May 2025 in Westover Road.

Superintendent Joe Pardey, of Dorset Police, said: “Our searches are continuing to try and locate Gavrila and we are renewing our appeal for information.

“He can become easily confused so it is very important that we find him as soon as possible to ensure he is safe and well.

“We are now issuing further images of Gavrila, which show the distinctive blue chequered jacket that he was last seen wearing.

“I would ask anyone who has seen him, or a man matching the description given, to please contact Dorset Police.”
