Community Speed Watch Event - Held at Manchester Rd, Tintwistle (A628) Saturday 10th May

Glossop SNT - Community Speed Watch

The Hadfield Community Speed Watch Volunteers completed a Speed Watch event on Manchester Rd, Tintwistle (A628). It was held there between 1 pm and 2 pm today, Saturday 10th May

A total of 1170 vehicles were recorded driving by the team today - and on this occasion 13 of those were recorded speeding above 35 mph. The speed limit on this stretch of road  is 30 mph.

๐Ÿ”† Speeding is an issue that communities in Derbyshire highlight as being a significant problem in our towns and villages - and its one they wish to see action taken. Thatโ€™s why our volunteer groups target those areas which have been reported and identified by the community as high-risk roads

๐Ÿ”† Remember - The speed watch volunteers are from our and your community, they are a resource with no financial cost to the Constabulary, despite some misconceptions, who wish to help, protect and keep safe the residents in their areas.

Our volunteers who take part in and run Community Speed Watch Groups give up their free time because they care about their communities..

Interested - How do I sign up?

To join please contact your local SNT or contact the Community Speed Watch team by email to AdminCSW@Derbyshire.Police.UK
