There has recently been continued increase of Theft from Motor Vehicles in the Smithills area.

The targeted areas have been Thompson Road, Markland Hill Lane, Devonshire Road, Stanley Road, and Captains Clough.

Recently we have seen where offenders have exploited unlocked cars and windows to gain access and remove items.

Please take care to be ensure that all vehicles are locked and that no valuables are left on show and removed from your vehicles.
