Operation Sceptre

Humberside Police will be running operation Sceptre between the dates of 12th May and 19th May 2025 which is a national operation in relation to knife crime. 

Key objectives for this Operation-:

  • Increase engagement around Knife related crime.
  • Maximise proactive opportunities in relation to Knife related crime.
  • Raise awareness of knife related crime.
  • Increase education around knife crime.
  • Prioritise & Reduce the number of knife related crime held by officers.
  • Increase police visibility in Knife crime ‘Hotspots’.
  • Local Police will be attending local schools for talks.

    • Knife amnesty bins for anybody wanting to hand knives in will be at the below locations:

  • Beverley PS
  • Bridlington PS
  • Clough Road PS
  • Goole PS
  • Osbourne Street PS
  • Pocklington PS
