Volunteer Recruitment Event.

 

Come along and find out more about all the ways you can be a volunteer with West Midlands Police.

There will be stands and representatives from

    Our Officers stopped a black Hyundai on Gloucester Way earlier today.

    Both male occupants have been arrested for Possession of drugs with intent to supply. 

    We continue to pro-actively target the issues and concerns that our residents tell us about.

     

     

     

     

     

     

    Crime Updates

  • At 00:00 on 3rd May, a stone was thrown at a property on Grandys Croft breaking the outer pane of glass.
  • Between 02:15 & 02:40hrs on 3rd May, an insecure flat in Keeble House Forth Drive was entered and offender stole the TV and speaker.
  • Between 00:00 & 11:00hrs on 4th May, the front bumper of a Ford Focus was stolen whilst the vehicle was on Brickhill Drive.
  • At 15:34 on 8th May, an offender attempted to steal a moped on Conway Rd, on realising it was very secure they pushed it over.
  • At 15:45hrs on 8th May, a group of 4 youths stole a BMW 900cc Motorcycle from Cooks Lane. All 4 were later arrested after residents called Police when they noticed them hiding in a garden.
  • Youths have been causing ASB in Marlene Croft and on the Birmingham Road near the BP Garage.
  • Anti-social behaviour (ASB) was defined in the Crime and Disorder Act (1998) as acting in a manner that caused or was likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress to one or more persons not of the same household as the perpetrator.

    Just as individuals will have differing expectations and levels of tolerance so will communities have different ideas about what goes beyond tolerable or acceptable behaviour.

    Below is a list of many types of ASB, 

    Nuisance behaviour, Urinating in public, Setting fires (not directed at specific persons or property), Inappropriate use of fireworks, Throwing missiles, Climbing on buildings, Impeding access to communal areas, Games in restricted/inappropriate areas, Misuse of air guns, Letting down tyres, Vandalism, Graffiti, Damage to bus shelters, phone kiosks, street furniture, buildings, trees, plants & hedges.
