VE Day Commemoration 8th May 2025

On the evening of Thursday the 8th of May 2025, Police Community Support Officers from the Safer Neighbourhood Team joined with the crowds in Broseley at the 80th Anniversary of Victory in Europe Day Commemoration Service at the Memorial Gardens.  A thoughtful service was given, reflecting on the sacrifices made by many people.

Later that evening,  the Torch Lighting event and service in Much Wenlock was also attended by the team.  These events allow officers from the team to meet with local residents in a relaxed atmosphere.

The SNT try to attend as many community events as they can. By being accessible and meeting people, we can find out if they have concerns regarding criminal or anti-social activity that we may be able to help with.

Please get in touch with us by using our email bmw.snt@westmercia.police.uk

If you aren’t comfortable contacting us directly, you can pass on information anonymously to the independent charity, Crimestoppers, by calling 0800 555 111 or by visiting their website: www.crimestoppers-uk.org

Thank you for your help. It is only by the police and the public working together that we can prevent and detect crime.
