Ham Common - Update

Just to update you  - LBRUT are awaiting a submitted application to the court to be heard for a writ of assistance that will allow bailiffs to enforce the current interim injunction preventing unauthorised encampments on Ham Common. 

We are in regular contact with the council officials, and once authorised, will be in attendance to prevent any breach of the peace during the eviction process. 

Officers were patrolling both the Common and Ham parade yesterday evening, and this will continue today, and over the weekend if needed - Should you have any concerns , please speak to one of them. Having reviewed calls to police and reported crime since yesterday, there were no reports made in relation to this encampment, and it remains out intention to police the immediate area to challenge any unacceptable behaviours or criminality whilst LBRUT follow the legal processes required. 

Sergeant Wright is working today and will provide further updates as we have them, and will review the policing for the area over the weekend to ensure it is appropriate.
