Good Morning to our fine community,

I hope all of you are well. I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself as one of two new Neighbourhood Policing Sergeants covering Hull East. I will have main oversight of your area when it comes to multi agency ward meetings. 

Alongside my Police Constable and Police Community Support Officer colleagues I look forward to working alongside you all to make the area safer and enjoyable for everyone. We continue to work closely with all of our partner agencies like the Hull City Council, Humberside Fire and Rescue, Yorkshire Ambulance Service and more.

Having been a police officer for 8 years working all across Hull and East Riding I am aware of how difficult times can be for all of us. I am also aware of the fantastic communities we have in particular our voluntary sector who give up their own time to support others. Growing up on a council estate and area of deprivation I witnessed first hand the challenges families including my own faced in the area, I intend to do everything I can to make your area the best it can be for you and your loved ones. 

I also know at times it can feel like you don't see us around, one of the biggest pieces of feedback we get is that officers are not visible on the streets. Please trust me when I say we are there. We may have to rely on being in vehicles to get across our area quickly to support people but we will maximise our time within our communities where we can. 

So please if you do see myself or my colleagues out and about feel free to chat to us and share your concerns. The more we know the more we can do. On that note please make sure you report things to us no matter how small they may seem, I assure you you are not wasting our time and your information may be the final piece of the jigsaw puzzle.
