The Neighbourhood Team felt the need to share a photo of Jasper's work buddy from last week! Albert is a general purpose dog (GPD) used for tracking, evidence recovery, public order and protecting officers. Albert is very unique as he is the only Giant Schnauzer used by police services in England and Wales. Whilst very different in the appearance to the German Shepherds and Belgian Malinois breeds, which are commonly used as GPD's, Albert is just as effective and his breed is commonly used by police services in mainland Europe. Despite the grumpy look he is a handsome boy!
