Yesterday 8th May 2025, a white Van, registration MH07 MMK, was seen repeatedly driving around Kingstone.  Unless taken incorrectly this registration is false. Two foreign males were in the van, possibly Polish, asking residents and businesses for oil, in very broken English. One was wearing Hi-Viz, and the other in dark clothing and a cap. Stealing cooking oil can be used to produce renewable diesel, once processed, or products like bio diesel and high energy animal feed. Its a lucrative business. Please keep a look out for this vehicle, and don't hesitate to call the Police. Here at Staffordshire we will do our best to apprehend criminals whatever the crime, even if it appears minor. Cooking oil thefts from businesses, is usually stolen from large containers from the rear of businesses, particularly hospitality businesses. Be alert and keep a look out for this vehicle and any vehicle that may be committing or attempting cooking oil thefts and alert us as soon as possible.  We will always endeavour to do our best for the communities we serve.
