URGENT LOCAL APPEAL FROM Hedge End Police:

Hedge End NPT - Update & Witness Appeal - for Boorley Park, Botley and Hedge End.

As many residents are no doubt aware that during the hours of midnight and 0500 hrs on Monday 5th May, there was a spate of incidents starting in Botley, and the Boorley Park Estate, then continuing on towards Hedge End Railway Station.

These incidents left a trail of destruction by two males - one on a non-motorised scooter and one on a bicycle, wearing balaclavas, carrying rucksacks, and wearing distinctive clothes and trainers.
We will not tolerate this kind of behaviour in our communities and we will use all at our disposal to deal with those that break the law, cause damage to public buildings and make residents feel worried and intimidated in their own homes.

We are currently investigating a number of lines of enquiry and have CCTV footage from the Boorley Green Community Centre and Hedge End train station. BTP are assisting us with our enquiries.

The suspects were seen in the areas of Kingsman Drive / Dollery Close / Wallace Avenue / Merion Rd in Boorley Park and Stroudley Close, Train Station, Hedge End. Did you see them in your road?

Did you see or hear anything suspicious during those times on the 5th May? Do you or your neighbours have any CCTV cameras / doorbell cameras?
Please can you check your footage between midnight and 0500 hours. If you are a shift worker, leaving or returning home in the early hours - do you have Dash Cam?

If yes, please call 101 and quote Crime Reference No: 44250194680

Reassurance for residents, local premises and businesses -
Hedge End Police have been carrying out patrols of affected areas in Botley, Boorley Park and Hedge End this evening, and will continue on Friday evening and over the coming weekend.

BEAT SURGERY at BOORLEY GREEN Sports Pavilion -

Please come and speak to your local officers about any concerns you may have and pass us any information in confidence.
