🚓🛣️ **Speed Monitoring Update** 🛣️ 🚓

This morning, PCSO Hogg from the Ellesmere Safer Neighbourhood Team conducted speed monitoring surveys in Welsh Frankton and along Grange Road in Ellesmere. This initiative was undertaken in response to the priorities and concerns raised by the parish council and residents regarding vehicular speed within these areas.

A total of 172 vehicle speeds were recorded during the survey. Unfortunately, 11 of these vehicles were observed exceeding the 30 mph speed limit. As this operation was focused on speed monitoring rather than enforcement, no tickets were issued at the time. However, the registrations of the offending vehicles have been documented, and the respective drivers will be contacted and advised in due course.

Vehicles were monitored in both directions through the village of Welsh Frankton, with average speeds recorded at 28.59 mph heading away from Ellesmere and 29.32 mph heading towards Ellesmere. On Grange Road, vehicles approaching Ellesmere were found to be within the 30 mph limit, with an average speed of 25.34 mph.

The Safer Neighbourhood Team remains dedicated to enhancing road safety and will continue to conduct speed monitoring surveys and enforcement activities throughout the area.
