NHW Coordinators - Meeting Summary & Next Steps!

Dear Coordinators,

Thank you to everyone who attended our recent Neighbourhood Watch (NHW) online meetings — and for those who couldn’t make it, we’re sharing a full summary below so you can stay up to date.

Over the course of our three recent sessions, some clear and consistent themes emerged. These reflect both the challenges faced locally and the shared commitment to improving safety and communication across our community.

🔍 Feedback Summary

Lack of Police Visibility
There was strong concern about the limited visibility of police in local areas.
→ Priority: Coordinators would welcome regular door-to-door presence, alongside police, to help build trust and community reassurance.

Unclear Connection with PCSOs
Coordinators requested clarity on who their assigned PCSOs are for each street or area.
→ Goal: To establish stronger communication and collaboration with local PCSOs.

Low Morale & Social Apathy
Some coordinators shared they feel disheartened due to limited communication and engagement from key partners.
→ Impact: This is affecting motivation and long-term involvement in some areas.
