Police & Fire Services are currently dealing with an incident in regards to an reported explosion at a property on Sheard Avenue which occurred at around 20:14hrs today.

Road closures are in place around Rowley Street/Kings Road, Smallshaw Lane/Rowley Street and Sheard Avenue/Connery Crescent. Can we ask that people abide by the road closures around area and to stay away from the area where possible.

Residents close to Sheard Avenue, please keep your windows and doors shut until further notice.

There is currently no danger to other residents, and circumstances into the the initial report are on going. We will update you if anything changes and when we have any updates.
