This afternoon Doncaster East Officers were patrolling around unity way in Hatfield and Dunscroft. 

They were travelling down a very rough dirt track when they were met with two off road motorbikes. I'm not sure who was most surprised the officers or the bike riders.

The riders decided to make their escape over a very dry and uneven farmers field . 

One of the bikes disappeared into the distance, but the other didn't quite have the capabilities for such a terrain. The two riders of this bike bounced around before realising their best chances was to forget the bike and run. 

One problem……. one rider was in flip flops (sliders), they were also quickly abandoned and off he ran.

The drone was dispatched in seconds like something out of a Marvel movie, tracking the suspects every move. It wasn't long before they were located.

The bike was checked and was stolen from Balby last night. This will now be returned to its rightful owner. 

One rider was arrested on suspicion of Theft and Handling stolen goods.

Don't worry - The flip flops were also recovered!
