From Philip Virgo as Development Lead
To All NHW Participants
There has been significant progress over the past week. and it should be possible to go firm on announcements for Neighbourhood Watch week (1st - 8th June) by 15th May when we have scheduled a physical briefing and opportunity for NHW participants and supporters to meet over coffee and biscuits.
This will be followed by a ZOOM on 19th May for those unable to attend and a planning meeting (on 22nd May 10.00 - 11.30) for the leadership team.
Over a quarter of participants, and all those offering to help plan the creation of an association, are in Herne Hill, Streatham or West Norwood, The physical meeting will be therefore be in the Old Library, Knights Hill, West Norwood, This is adjacent to West Norwood Railway Station and to Bus Stops for the 2, 432, 68, 468, 415, 176, 315 and 322.
The physical meeting will be on 15th May, 13.00 - 14.30. Please reply to this message if you expect to join us or are unable to do so but would like to volunteer in support.
The ZOOM will be on 19th May 18.30 - 20.00. Please reply with your name and e-mail contact details to receive an invitation.
The current priorities as as per the previous report.
The first two additional safe safe havens, The Railway Tavern in Tulse Hill and Badger Badger in West Norwood, have registered and been placed on the Travel Guardian app alongside the already loaded from the Council register. Plans are being agreed for workshops after the exam season for teenagers to review the app and how it could/ should be used to address their needs.
In parallel the intention is to assemble a list of summer activities promoted via Local Village Network (used by Lambeth Council for events with CRB checked organisers) for local businesses, NHW groups and volunteers to support
