Hello and welcome to Darlington Neighbourhood Watch Association. As you have registered with ourwatch.org you have access to and membership of the Neighbourhood Watch Network in London. You are also registered with us through a very well protected and complex system that keeps your data absolutely safe. I am signed up to the General Data Protection Regulations and, as an MSA, have limited access to your data in the Network, through a very thorough login system that has alerted me to you ten new members who have signed up in the last week. You will begin to receive information from the Network regarding current and new threats from fraud and scams that are robbing British people of millions of pounds each year. For example, if like me, you are with O2 on your mobile, you may be getting calls from them. No! the O2 website is compromised and fraudsters have your phone number and will call you and try to get your details. Just put the phone down and block the number. If you then call 202 the O2 employee you speak to will generally have a UK or EU accent and will confirm that O2 will not call you on the phone. They normally communicate via text or Email. You may have signed up to the Network through “keepintheknow,” the Durham Police website that will furnish you with local threats and criminal activity. I recommend you sign up to this website if you signed through ourwatch. If you have the intention of making everyone in your street safe then you should register with the Network as a Coordinator for your street and then let me know and I will assist you in canvassing your neighbours with our pamphlets and encourage them to join. They will receive window stickers and I will install a large sign on a lamp post in your street that declares “THIS IS A NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH AREA” to deter thieves. I am here to help so send me a message through the network or call me on 07981 756341 Richard Beaumont MSA Chair, DNHWA
