OPERATION GALLOP 🐴 ⬇️ 

You may have seen on our local Facebook page, North Yorkshire Police- Sealby area, that Op Gallop continues this week through to Sunday. The operation has been running nationwide from the 28th April and will continue until the 4th May.

Op Gallop is specifically targeted at equine crime and crime prevention.

It also includes education around the Highway Code which states that “Drivers should slow down to a maximum of 10mph and allow a 2-metre distance when passing. They should then drive slowly away once safely past.”

Whilst on routine patrol rural officers from the Selby Neighbourhood Policing Team have been visiting stable yards as a general engagement opportunity to raise awareness.
