The ridge team have been out again this afternoon/evening conducting Pro Laser speed enforcement in different locations around Kirton. 

Usually i would post numbers and percentages, however today i am extremely pleased to inform you all that over the 250 vehicles speed checked in 30MPH and 40MPH speed zones, that every single driver was below or driving the speed limit. Very positive and reassuring for the community. 

As a neighbourhood team we are led by the public and we conduct these enquiries based on concerns raised by the public who live in our ward area. 

To the member of public who stopped to say “ MAKING EASY MONEY THERE" well i can happily say no fines were issued to any motorists today and i would prefer it to be like that every time we conduct these enquiries!. 

On a side note we have been made aware of a couple of “Hot spot” areas around Kirton for people using Nitrous Oxide canisters. We have conducted multiple high visibility patrols this evening to try and locate those involved and will continue to do so over the coming weeks. Can i please remind everyone that wrongful inhalation of Nitrous Oxide is a class C offence.
