D shift response patrolled the northern Villages last night until the dawn.

At approximately 03:50 hours this morning we spotted a resident in Warton who had just disturbed a suspicious white van. We missed this van by seconds. We searched Warton and the surrounding villages but the van managed to slip away. Last seen Maypole Road towards either the Pub or bus stop library direction. Village CCTV will be checked by Police.

We remained in the area until the morning, with no suggestion that vehicle returned.

Areas patrolled = Warton, Polesworth, Shuttington, Seckington, Newton Regis, No Man’s Heath, Austrey, Ashby Road, Dordon, Grendon and the A5 to the Tamworth services.

Each of these areas were patrolled using intel on local issues.
