Good Afternoon;

Many of you have contacted us and Bolton Council about a burnt out car on the former Golf Course at Longsight Park. The vehicle had been in-situ for several months after being abandoned in late 2024.  Soft, muddy ground and the remote location meant that access was difficult and machinery would have caused damage to the ground and parkland. 

A decision was taken to leave the vehicle in-situ until better weather and the ground was firmer and the vehicle could be retrieved safely and without damaging the parkland and environment further.

We are pleased to report today the vehicle has been recovered from the parkland and taken to the GMP Recovery Agents land for inspection and identification.
