Operation TAVACO – Cracking Down on Vehicle Crime

Over the weekend, officers from Coleshill and Atherstone Safer Neighbourhood Teams, the Rural Crime Team, and the Special Constabulary took part in Operation TAVACO, a targeted operation tackling vehicle crime across the north of the borough.

The team focused on known hotspot areas and acted on real-time intelligence to prevent and detect offences, offering a visible policing presence to reassure our communities.

Using a combination of marked and unmarked vehicles, supported by ANPR technology and the Police National Computer (PNC), officers worked to identify and intercept individuals using the road network to commit crime.

We’re committed to taking firm action against vehicle crime offenders and continue to work closely with victims, offering reassurance and crime prevention advice.

- 4 Stop Searches Conducted

- 5 TOR (Traffic Offence Reports) Issued

- 7 Vehicles Recovered

- 10 Emergency Incidents Attended

- 24 ANPR Reads Actioned

- 1 Stolen Vehicle Identified

- 1 Cloned Vehicle Identified

- 3 Sct.165 (No Insurance) Seizures
