The Metropolitan Police on our Borough report an ongoing spike in thefts of cars in recent weeks.

The makes primarily targeted are Lexus and Toyota, and if you have one of these vehicles then please read the information regarding CAN Bus attacks contained within the attached police factsheet.
 

General Crime Prevention Measures

If your vehicle is not a Lexus or Toyota then remember that all vehicles are ultimately vulnerable to theft, and you can view the list of items that are Police Approved ("Secured by Design") by searching on that page for “Vehicle Security”.
