Detectives are continuing to investigate an assault which took place outside KFC on Imperial Road, Exmouth, on Saturday 26 April.

Officers were initially called to the scene at around 8.15pm, following a report that a male had been punched and knocked to the ground, causing him to lose consciousness.

The victim was taken to hospital having suffered a serious injury. 

A 31-year-old man from Exmouth was arrested in connection with this incident and has since been released on bail whilst enquiries are ongoing.
