Man, 28, arrested after officers find drugs during proactive stop in Aldershot


A man has been arrested after officers located drugs during a proactive stop in Aldershot yesterday.

Officers were patrolling the town when they noticed suspected drug-related activity linked to a Mazda car on Nelson Street at around 2am on Tuesday 29 April.

Following a search of the vehicle, officers found suspected Class A drugs, £665 in cash and two mobile phones. A knife was also located in the pocket behind the driver’s seat. All items were seized.

A 28-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of Class A and possessing a knife blade / sharp pointed article in a public place.

He has been bailed with conditions, pending further enquiries.
