Road Safety at Simmondley Primary School, Glossop

PC Nichols and PCSO Turner from the local safer Neighbourhood Team attended Simmondley Primary School today (29.04.2025)

This was in conjunction with the work they have been doing regarding inconsiderate parking and driving around the area. They held a Road Safety input with the year 5 children where they discussed the green cross code, bike and scooter safety and general road safety advice.

The children then designed road safety posters which they plan to use to help advise local road users about the manner of their driving and parking near the school. The children had some fabulous questions for the officers and enjoyed talking to them about the equipment they carry and the work they do.

Thank you to the school and children for facilitating today and making them feel so welcome.
